About Jasmin
I’m a lifelong Alaskan with a lifelong interest in state politics. While earning my degree in economics from UAA, I ran successful municipal and state campaigns. After graduating, I went on to work at the Alaska State Legislature. Starting at the front desk, I quickly moved to other roles in the office. I worked as Senate Finance Committee Aide and Senate Health and Social Services Committee Aide, in addition to constituent communication roles: organizing town halls and providing legislative updates at community meetings. In my time at the legislature, I was responsible for bringing ten pieces of legislation from idea to policy. I’ve been involved in every step of the legislative process, and I know what good advocacy looks like.
When I’m not following public policy, you can find me outdoors in Alaska. I’m a packrafter, a whitewater kayaker, and a snowboarder; among other things. I seek whatever the weather is good for. I’m currently completing my licensing as a Wilderness-EMT.
I’m an Alaskan. At the end of the day, I want my fellow Alaskans to feel empowered to make the state better by advocating for the things they care about.
